We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you’ll be a vital extension of our marketing efforts, working closely with the Deputy Director to create original content, manage social media, design for the web, and support various internal and community-facing initiatives. What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate & Communicate: Build strong relationships with supervisors, co-workers, staff, participants, parents, volunteers, contractors, and community members through open and effective communication.
- Content Creation: Develop eye-catching graphics, videos, and photography to promote District programs, events, and activities.
- Social Media Management: Assist with managing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Nextdoor. Respond promptly and appropriately to comments and messages, and help grow engagement through creative campaigns.
- Marketing Campaigns: Work alongside the Deputy Director to plan and execute innovative campaigns that resonate with our audience.
- Design & Writing: Write, design, and proofread a variety of marketing materials, including program guides, websites, press releases, newsletters, calendars, and flyers.
- Website Management: Support web design, updates, and administration to ensure an accessible, user-friendly experience.
- Event Support: Set up and manage the District booth at community events, representing our programs and engaging with attendees.
- Photography & Videography: Capture and edit compelling photos and videos that tell the story of our programs and services.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general support, including photocopying, printing, mailing, stuffing bags, running errands, and filing.
- Project Independence: Tackle tasks independently, staying organized and meeting tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
- Budget: Works alongside the Deputy Director in budget preparation and recommendations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Canva and other design tools.
- Strong skills in video editing and photography to create engaging visual content.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to manage and grow online presence.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
- A passion for creativity and a commitment to enhancing our community through impactful marketing efforts.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with related coursework in Marketing, Communications, or other related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Marketing and Communications. Parks and recreation or local government experience is a plus.
- CPR, AED, first aid certification, or the ability to become certified within the first 60 days of employment.
