- Ultimate Frisbee Instructor
Description
Apex Park and Recreation District is looking for engaging and enthusiastic Ultimate Frisbee Instructors to guide youth players in a recreational setting. Coaches will help players learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching, movement, and strategy while emphasizing fun, inclusion, and fair play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach basic frisbee skills including backhand, forehand, catching, and cutting.
- Promote Spirit of the Game principles: respect, self-officiating, and integrity.
- Create a supportive, non-competitive environment for ages [insert age range].
- Plan age-appropriate drills and modified games to build skills and confidence.
- Foster teamwork, communication, and a love for being active.
- Manage equipment setup and takedown for practices and games.
- Seasonal position with initial commitment to the following camp sessions:
June 23-27 ( AM and PM camps)
July 21-25 (AM session only) - Possibility of other coaching opportunities may arise.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage/stipend based on experience.

Requirements
- Minimum age: 16
- Interest in ultimate frisbee and working with youth.
- Coaching or playing experience preferred.
- USA Ultimate coaching certification (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
